OMT (Online Money Transfer) is all over the place creating/sponsoring events... Most of them make sense as they hit their target audience right at the core: a Sri Lankese music festival of some sort, a new year celebration for Ethipians (they're still in 2004 apparently).. But the lottery they organized leaves me baffled - why would transiant and migrant workers wish for a new car to be won when they are trying to have a minimum possessions as possible so as for them to move back home swiftly and with minimum fuss. Money comes and goes, as their slogan says, cars however, they tend to stay!
