Architecture criminals!

This is a house I have blogged about two years ago. It was purposefully built to hug a tree, the whole balcony was trimmed inside to be able to "wrap around" the pine tree... Now the house is being transformed into a restaurant, and what is the first thing they do? They cut the pine tree and "straighten" the balcony!.... I give up - this world is too idiotic!
