Do they know (when) it's Christmas time?

 

When Bob Geldof and Midge Ure asked that famous question "Do they know it's Christmas?" little did they know that I would put it in a different context because of Lebanese advertisers. OK so we have Sleep Comfort (for furniture and mattresses etc...) and Khoury Home (for home appliances and other such electronic goods) both announcing Christmas at the beginning of November (yes, the Sleep Comfort at has been running for a while now and Khoury hit it about a week ago).
As I said in a previous post: Famous British singer Morrissey (ex-lead singer of the Smiths) once said about Sir Bob Geldof (some months after the release of "Do they know it's Christmas"): "One can have great concern for the people of Ethiopia, but it's another thing to inflict daily torture on the people of England." So if Christmas frenzy is hitting full swing right now, I bet by the second week of December we would be so fazed, the Easter bunny would be on its way!
