Maripol comes to Station in Beirut

In a world where everyone is trumpeted for being "famous for being famous," it comes as a sweet reminder that some people are known - even if by more niche and select audiences - for their talent and immense contribution to culture as we know it. If the adage "they don't make them like they used to" can be used, then definitely it is applied to this case - the woman who happened to be at the epicenter of everything when NY indie scene was taking the world by storm is coming to Beirut: Pop royalty herself Maripol will be be in town in Station to show her Polaroids (coinciding with the Beirut Art Fair) and be the inaugural exhibit of this new multipurpose venue dedicated to hosting progressive cultural events in Beirut. Details in the poster. Watch this space for further developments.
