Lebanese media (specifically the online circus) have jumped on a bandwagon announcing that the iPhone5C which was introduced only hours ago was for 99USD. This information is WRONG. This is the subsidized price - i.e. when you tie it to a typically 2-year contact with a carrier. An option which is not available in many countries. Without it, the stand alone phone ranges between 550-650USD (respectively for the 16GB and 32GB) which frankly does not make it a "cheap" iPhone. Media outlets, please read full information prior to sharing, thank you! And Apple, please go brighten up someone else's day with such prices.
