I have just come across the most amazing image. The original projected plans for the Beirut City Center by famed Lebanese architect Joseph Philippe Karam... Those of you puzzled of that protruding ovoid shape will end up recognizing it as the dome, or Godzilla's egg, or Saboune (the soap) as the inhabitants of Beirut originally called it.
