The Bequa'a valley has two campaigns for ladies running for parliamentary seats. Ibtissam el Saadi - who runs in Baalbeck-Hermel - depicts herself without a veil and with bleached hair over a background of minarets and the slogan "together towards change and unification." The paradox of her with the background is enough to draw attention I must admit. The second campaign is for Magda Bridi who runs for the Catholic seat in Zahle and who headlines "Behind every ambitious program, a woman," a very subtle variation of "behind every great man, a woman." Well done, full marks there for the campaign!
