"Kawabis Ghada" (Nightmares of a beautiful woman) is a new series based on the book "Kawabis Beirut" (Beirut Nightmares) by celebrated author Ghada Al Samman (Ghada means beautiful woman) which was first published in October 1976 and chronicles the tensions, absurdity, hallucinations of someone living the Lebanese war as it first broke out. More lucid, scathing, and equipped with a magnifying glasses and a dissection scalpel Al Samman goes in her analysis where few went before her - or indeed after her.
