Long before her was the judge in a talent competition and dubbed "superstar" Ragheb Alameh was an 80s heartthrob.
Pictured above with Ahmad Doughan - another mega star at the time who unlike Alameh did not continue the as A-lister (he was dubbed "al 3andalib al achkar" (the blonde nightingale) in reference to "al 3andalib al ashkar" (the dark-haired nightingale) which was the way Abdel Halim Hafez was labelled due to the way Doughan sang Hafez's song).
As for the third man completing the holy trinity of the 80s is Rabih el Khawli, who then went on to leave singing to become a priest under his real name "Tony el Khawli".
Three men, same potential for stardom, three different routes.
