The house of Kenzo, which is witnessing a huge revival with new designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, is issuing new designs with the word Kenzo written in Arabic on a variety of applications (iPad and iPhone cases, sweatshirt and t-shirt - this being Kenzo the t-shirt retails at around 120-125 USD). Naturally, what is interesting about all of this is that suddenly Arabic imagery is no longer taboo or associated with terrorists but is actually cool and acceptable (do note that in 1994 Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel fell into very deep hot water for decorating a dress with fragments of the Quran - so there are ways and ways of using Arabic words). Now that Kenzo has gone Arabic, I am thinking, how on earth does one transpose their perfume's name: "Ca sent beau?"
