Beirut Creative Cluster - a wonder from wondereight.

I just got an invite for the Beirut Creative Cluster launch.... The invite itself is pretty funky and comes in three acetate fragments which once joined make up the logo of the cluster - and then you can schuffle the three cards and each would be a part of the invite. Very cool...
But I don't think my lexicon has enough words for the admiration I have for the logo. I am enamored with it! One can easily read BCC, it is both retro and modernist, the colors flashy but counter-balanced, the overall effect solid but breezy, and the whole impact strong without being overtly down-your-throat. I truly, truly, think it is the best think that has come from this region since the Beirut logo - the boys at Wondereight have scored again.
However - this is not the first time a "creative cluster" is being launched in Beirut. Does anyone know what happened to Lebanon Creative Cluster? Heck, they even had a logo and a launch event and a newsletter... Oh well....

Thanks Tarek! Invitation cards credit goes to Penguin Cube who did a lovely job. W8 created the logo and brand ;-)

You're right about creative clusters though, in fact there were 2 before: The first was initiated by the British Council and the second by Cisco but both are gone :-(

BCC has strong companies but no big-shots for now, so no ego problems this time ;) that's why it has already achieved a lot in less than a year!

Lets hope it survives?
