I don't think that it's stolen either, the typographic technique/style is similar but it's a completely different concept. The BMAF logo, I believe, represents a guitar/3ood.
It's Arabic calligraphy, and is an Art in it's Own Right. The refinements makes what it is. They are two very pleasant looking logos with Arabic calligraphy.

I wouldn't necessarily think it's stolen, it's a different use of a concept... Concepts are borrowed not stolen I think
