Guns and roses...

Well, so the sequel to the "say NO" campaign is now everywhere... "In the face of the custody of the arms, the square is the most powerful arm"... Actually, when I first saw the tv ad I thought it was an ad for some cleaning detergent because the whole martyrs' square was white - and I was "hmmm, seems Ariel or Persil are picking up on the wave" - but then no, it turned out to be the ad above.
By the way, I suppose by now you must have heard of that propaganda move on Future television which severely backfired! It goes like this: A man, his daughter and his grandchild are hiding from what seems to be snipers, they huddle against each other next to the wall - scared. Then there is a rush of Hizbullah militants doing a show. And the tagline: "Having arms at your side does not last" (al istikwa2 bil sila7 la yadoum)...
Here's the intended meaning: Those people, presumably sunnites are running scared from those evil Hizbullah members out to get them.
In an act of investigative bravado Al Manar tracked down those people who turned out to be Shiites (Ali Hariri, his daughter and her son) who were actually hiding from Future Movement snipers who were on Tariq el Jdideh.... And Mr Ali Hariri has now filed a lawsuit against Future television for being featured without hsi consent in acts leading to secterian violence....
Well, obviously, we live in a world where lies can be demasked... (Hint to Future tv: You could have simply shot the scene yourselves instead of resorting to dubious and badly researched archiving!)
