Mon bijou, mon doigt

Many of you will remember the pointless "mon bijou, mon droit" by Joaillerie Moukarzel which I reviewed in Communicate magazine. Bernard Hage a student at USEK has come up with a much smarter alternative to it, poiting out that he "did it to remind people that women doesnt really care about jewelery when they're being beaten and violated everyday"... Finally someone understands about the rights of women. Pity that in, the meantime, the whole budget was squandered on a pityful and simply non-comprehensible campaign.

i agree about how women are violated in our society with really not much of available laws and rights to protect them ... and although i like the new way of putting the publicity, but what about the cultural meaning of Gold in lebanon especially for women, im sure many grandmas so far still hold on to their mabroume or many of them in their hands...
i guess its just a smart way to revive the gold market in lebanon, because gold is flying up high... en plus c'est un devoir plus qu'un droit

I couldn't read the bottom... something "Moukarrez" - I guess a play on words so as not to be sued by the original company in the ads? Those billboards really irked me when I was in Beirut!

GREAT GREAT GREAT !! That was one of the ugliest surprises in lebanon this summer, telling the lebanese that her right is jewelry while she cannot even giver her nationality to her kids or tell about a violent husband, is a shame, shame !! thumbs up for the reply ! some feminist organization must use it to ripost.
